Eight Little Suns

The day was quite sunny, which is never too suitable for good photography; however, on the slope of the mountain the forest was quite shady and mysterious. These little flowers here are a species of acacia called golden wattle, which is actually a floral symbol of Australia itself. Looks quite lovely with all the dark background, I think!
